Since 2010, the IndustriLab regional innovation call for projects has enabled 25 collaborative innovation projects to be funded, thanks to support from the Region and European funds. These projects, which brought together businesses, research laboratories and regional technical centres, have helped to strengthen the competitiveness of regional industry and the influence of university research in Picardy.

As part of European operational programmes, a smart specialisation strategy has been established in Picardy, in partnership with economic and academic stakeholders: the 2014-2020 Smart Specialisation Strategy, or ‘S3’.

To go even further, the Region is amplifying this dynamic of innovation and extending its call for projects, which now responds to the themes of the S3 (approved by the European Commission, and therefore eligible for European funding in the region).
